  I have been using HICA for many years for Travel Insurance and they are fantastic - awesome service with everything - even claims! Am just about to use their services for health insurance! Highly recommend.

  Been with HICA for 5 years and had been told we had the best cover available. when we made our first claim it turned out not true at all. After having a minor incident (minor vehicle damage in car park) to be claimed it turned out that the insurance i had was worthless and had to be put under our public liability with a large excess of 2.5k and required the customers to write letters of demand we have since changed for the better and have cover that cost less and has an excess of 250. My advice would be shop around and make sure they are working on your best interests and are competent in the insurance you are looking for.

  I've had a few dealings with HICA over the years for Health Insurance. I used to find them really helpful and trusted them to find me the best health insurance. I have been with the same health insurers (a different one for hospital and extra's) for over a decade and recently decided it was time for a review. I received an email from HICA with just 2 potential insurers whose offerings I found underwhelming. I will keep looking myself but wading through health insurance is time consuming and difficult and the government comparison site is not particularly helpful. There are several other comparison sites but I don't trust them. Perhaps PHI extras is no longer worth taking out as much of the coverage has been reduced or removed all together.

  Extremely poor advice, no customer service and seem to not have a real clue about people’s needs and the legality behind it. Emails are misleading and overall very very poor. Would never recommend.
